Ecosystem Conservation: Tree-Growing and Fingerling-Releasing Ceremony

A monsoon tree-growing and fingerling-releasing ceremony of the Ministry of Health was held on Tuesday at the National Herbal Park and the Mingala Lake in Zabuthiri Township of Nay Pyi Taw Union Territory.

First, Union Minister Dr. ThetKhaing Win and Chairman of the Nay Pyi Taw Council Dr. MaungMaungNaing released fish hatchlings into the lake. Also, Deputy Minister Dr. Aye Tun and Colonel Min Naung, member of the Nay Pyi Taw Council, the directors-general, the deputy directors-general and departmental staff released 10,000 golden sturgeon fingerlings and 10,000 Rohu fingerlings. In the National Herbal Park, Union Minister Dr. ThetKhaing Win, Dr. MaungMaungNaing, Dr. Aye Tun, many other officials and departmental personnel planted saplings including Tharaphi, Magnolia, Ceylon ironwood saplings, Sandalwood, Bay leaf and Gardenia. After the ceremony, the Union Minister and officials viewed the cultivation of the herbal plants.
