

The Kachin State’s Village Project Supervising Committee held a coordination meeting at the State Government Office in Myitkyina.
In the meeting, Patron of the Committee Chief Minister U Khet Htein Nan highlighted guidance to use 8 billion Kyats provided by the Government to promote the Kachin state’s economy. He also urged the committee members to make efforts to successfully implement agriculture, livestock, cooperative and fishery projects in 136 villages.
Chairman of the Committee explained plans for the projects and members of the Committee also explained training given for the projects and plan to form work committees. In his response, the Chief Minister called on attendees to expand the projects in other villages in the State. It’s reported that in 14 townships of Kachin State, with the use of 8 billion Kyats to promote the Kachin state’s economy, agriculture projects will be carried out in 81 villages, cooperative projects in 35 villages, livestock projects in 15 villages and fishery projects in 5 villages.
