Earthquake Recovery Efforts : Reconstruction and renovation of damaged facilities

Sagaing Region Chief Minister U Myat Kyaw and officials on Sunday observed the construction of new building at Shwe Min Won Market in Sagaing on Sunday.

The Chief Minster instructed the officials to ensure meeting the set-standard, workplace safety and completion in time. Jointly donated by Chinese Embassy in Myanmar and Myanmar-China Friendship Association, the facility is a one-story Steel Structure building, and will emerge as the Myanmar-China Friendship Marketplace.

Then, the Chief Minister and officials inspected the upgrading and reconstruction of marketplaces in Myoma market, damaged by earthquake. They then proceeded to Shwe Min Won and Poe Tan Wards where they observed the progress of expanding and paving asphalt roads and coordinated the necessaries.

They also visited the 300-Bed General Hospital and inspected the construction of drug store. The Chief Minister and party also inspected the reconstruction of the Prayers' Hall at the Sagaing Myoma Police Station, and coordinated the needs.
