e-Government Implementation: Vice President addresses coordination meeting

The coordination meeting (1/2026) of the e-Government Steering Committee was held on September 29 at the meeting hall of the Ministry of Digital Development and Telecommunications in Nay Pyi Taw, with Vice President U Nyo Saw, Chairman of the e-Government Steering Committee, attending and delivering opening remarks.

During the meeting, the Vice President discussed in detail key measures required to implement the nation's e-Government tasks more effectively and comprehensively, paving the way for a whole-of-government transition to Digital Government. He highlighted that ensuring the success of these processes requires not only government action but also the implementation of Public-Private Partnership (PPP) frameworks involving the private sector and technical experts.

He also covered providing services via Single Window and One-Stop Digital Services platforms, information security and cybersecurity matters, and the enactment and approval of the National Digital Development Strategy 2030 and the Digital Development Law. Furthermore, he urged all departments and organizations to coordinate systematically and in harmony to build a reliable Digital Government from e-Government that the public can trust and use with confidence.

Following this, the Vice Chairman of the Steering Committee explained the preparations made for implementing e-Government, and the Secretary of the Steering Committee presented the current progress of e-Government implementation. Members of the Steering Committee then jointly provided suggestions and discussed strategies to ensure the successful implementation of the e-Government agenda. The Vice President subsequently reviewed the presentations and coordinated necessary support.
