Over 24 billion kyats worth narcotic drugs have been seized in Patheingyi Township of Mandalay Region on January 10th, according to the Myanmar Police Force. A combined team comprised with the members of security force, acting on a tip-off, searched the 12-wheeler that has been parked near Mile Post No.8/5 on HtonBo-MyitNge Road at around 1:00 am.
They found 1,000 kilos of ICE (Methamphetamine) and 3 million stimulant tablets which have been transported from Shan State (North) to Yangon Region. A suspect who was found in the vehicle, was also arrested, and the case was filed a lawsuit. Further investigation are underway, the report said.
