Drugs seized: Heroin worth over 240 million kyats arrested

The heroin worth over 240 million kyats was arrested in Lashio, Shan State (North) according to Myanmar Police Force.

Acting on a tip-off, the combined forces including the members of Anti-Narcotics Task Force inspected a LIFAN six-wheeler dumb truck near Char-Shi Village, Lashio Township, Shan State (North) on Lashio-Tantyang Road at 9:30 p.m. on October 26, driven by Zaw Oo from Mairal to Lashio.

A search of the vehicle turned up heroin valued at over 240 million kyats. According to the investigation, the heroin was transported from Mairal to Manton. The suspect was charged under the Law and the investigations are underway to capture the rest of the suspects, according to Myanmar Police Force.
