Drug Seizure : Over K1.6 billion worth of drugs seized in Pyinmana Township

Myanmar Police Force reported that over 1.6 billion kyats worth of illegal drugs, including ecstasy pills and Happy Water, were seized in Pyinmana Township. On September 6 at around 1:30 PM, the Anti-Narcotics Task Force stopped a motorcycle near Taung Gwa  Village.

The motorcycle was heading from Thazi to Pyinmana and ridden by two men. Upon inspection, authorities found 11,200 ecstasy pills, 8 kilograms of Happy Water, and 0.09 kilograms of ketamine. Upon inspection, authorities found 11,200 ecstasy pills, 8 kilograms of Happy Water, and 0.09 kilograms of ketamine.nitial investigations revealed that the drugs were being transported from Thazi to Yangon, intended for sale to youth in KTVs, bars, and clubs. Legal action has been taken under the Law, and further investigations are ongoing to identify others involved.
