Dozens of Risso dolphins spotted at Valparaiso Bay

Residents in Valparaiso were treated to a rare sight on Monday when a pod of Risso's dolphins made an appearance in the Chilean city's bay. They swam in the blue waters as onlookers watched and filmed the spectacle.

National Service of Fisheries spokesperson Soledad Tapia said about 60 to 80 dolphins was spotted in the bay. She said the last time the species arrived in the area in great numbers was back in January.
