Donation Of Oxygen Cylinders: Nay Pyi Taw Council Donated 100 40-liter Oxygen Cylinders

The donation ceremony of 100 40-liter oxygen cylinders donated by Nay Pyi Taw Council was held at the 1000-bed Nay Pyi Taw People’s Hospital, Sunday morning and the Chairma of Nay Pyi Taw Council Dr. Maung Maung Naing adressed the ceremony.

Also present at the occasion were the Commander of Nay Pyi Taw Command Maj-Gen Zaw Myo Tin, members of Nay Pyi Taw Council, director general of department of medical service, medical superintendant of 1000-bed Nay Pyi Taw People’s Hospital, chairman of Dakkhina district administration council and officials concerned. In his address, Chairma of Nay Pyi Taw Council Dr. Maung Maung Naing said regarding the donation that the COVID-19 positive patients are being given treatment mainly at 1000-bed hospital, 300-bed hospitals in Pubbathiri Township and Township hospitals.

As the oxygen generating by aforesaid hospitals are no more sufficient due to the increase of positive patients, Nay Pyi Taw Council, Nay Pyi Taw Command and Public Health Department are fulfilling requirement collectively.

It’s because of donating these 100 40-liter oxygen cylinders to the 1000-bed Nay Pyi Taw People’s Hospital. Other required hospitals will be allocated from the donation. The COVID-19 pandemic will enable to contain only with the cooperation and collaboration of the government, departments, civil society organizations and public.

Next, the Chairman of Nay Pyi Taw Council donated oxygen cylinders to the medical superintendant of 1000-bed Nay Pyi Taw People’s Hospital Dr. Aung Ngwe San and the latter presented certificate of honor and extended words of thanks. Then, Chairman of Nay Pyi Taw Council Dr. Maung Maung Naing, Commander of Nay Pyi Taw Command Maj-Gen Zaw Myo Tin and officials viewed the oxygen production of oxygen plant which generates 96 cylinders of oxygen a day.
