Distribution of Electric Power: MOEP Union Minister inspects stringing of power line

Union Minister for Electric Power U Thaung Han on 17th December inspected stringing of 500 KV KanKaung (Meikhtila)-SabarKywe (Taungoo) power line.

Officials reported on extended construction of power line and Taungoo Main Sub-station. The Union Minister urged all to complete the tasks within the targeted time, to ensure worksite safety, to meet the set standard and to avoid wastages.

The Union Minister later visited Taungoo Main Sub-station and inspected the power distribution in the control room and extended installation of switch bays in the Switch Yard. He also instructed for worksite safety and prioritizing to reduce power shortages.

In meeting with the staff, the Union Minister said arrangements have been made for increased generation of electric power through all possible energy sources to meet the demand of the nation. He urged all to serve their respective roles dutifully and to prioritize for welfare of the staff. The Union Minister also provided honorary cash assistance for the staff.
