








Organized the Rakhine State Government, the Rakhine State Department of Small Industries and the Weaving and Vocational Training School (Sittwe) jointly organized a ceremony to distribute production equipment for the “Project for Creating Small Manufacturing Enterprises and Increasing Rural Household Income.” The ceremony was held on December 24 at Khaing Thazin Hall in Sittwe, and was attended by the Chief Minister of Rakhine State, U Htein Lin, who delivered an opening address.
At the ceremony, Chief Minister U Htein Lin stated that the Rakhine State Government is making concerted efforts, across all sectors and to the fullest extent possible, to meet the needs necessary for the socio-economic development of local communities. He said that entrepreneurs would be selected from among those who had attended the training courses opened by the Rakhine State Department of Small Industries and would be provided with production equipment to enable them to establish their businesses. He also urged prospective entrepreneurs to continuously build upon the knowledge and skills taught in the training courses, to improve the quality of their products and packaging systems, and to work toward securing market access.
Afterward, the Chief Minister and members of the State Government presented production equipment for food processing and consumer goods manufacturing, as well as handloom weaving equipment, to those who are establishing businesses, and then took a group documentary photograph.
The Chief Minister and officials then toured the exhibition of production equipment displayed inside the hall, provided encouragement, and coordinated with responsible officials on necessary matters.
Subsequently, the Chief Minister attended the (2/2025) coordination meeting on ensuring the successful organizing 78th Independence Day ceremony, held at the Rakhine State Government Office meeting hall, where he delivered remarks.
In the afternoon, Chief Minister U Htein Lin attended a ceremony at the same meeting hall honoring those who contributed to the compilation and publication of the Rakhine State Magazine.
At the ceremony, the Chief Minister delivered a congratulatory address and presented commemorative gifts to members of the editorial team responsible for compiling and publishing the Rakhine State Magazine.
The Editor-in-Chief of the Rakhine State Magazine publication team, State Advocate General U Hla Thein, subsequently extended words of thanks, it’s reported.
