Distance Education: First Year Enrollment Period Starts Today

For those who have passed 2022 matriculation exam, first year university class enrollment period for distance education has been set between 26th December 2022 and 31st January 2023, stated by the department of higher education.

Deputy Director General, Department of Higher Education, Dr. Yin Myo Thu, said " Daily students are now attending the classes as we announced admission list for them last month. But for now, the list for those who got the first year distance university admission announces starting from 1st December via education department websites of relevant universities, websites of higher education department and Ministry of Education as well as at the universities and colleges where they apply."

Since the students know the universities where they got the admissions, registration processes have continuously to be made during the set time. 

Deputy Director General, Department of Higher Education, Dr. Yin Myo Thu, said " After announcing the admission list, students have to register. In first year distance classes, we will accept between 26th December 2022 to 31st January 2023 for those who have passed the 2022 matriculation examination in last April and May. Likewise, for those who passed the matriculation exam before 2022 academic year including who have failed first year at that time, the enrollment period will be between 26th December 2022 and 28th February 2023, on the weekends. For the classes of 2nd year and above, registrations will be accepted on the weekends between 16th January 2023 and 28th February 2023."

For distance education classes, total 42 of University Degree College and College is being opened by now, it’s learnt.
