Disaster Management Training: Taninthayi Region CM attended the opening ceremony

The opening ceremony of the Taninthayi Region Level Basic Natural Disaster Management Training Course (3/2025) was held on December 22 at the Township Hall (2) in Dawei.

At the ceremony, Chief Minister U Myat Ko stated that not only the committees of the natural disaster management within the region but also the departmental agencies will expand their knowledge related to natural disaster management. This will strengthen cooperation in carrying out disaster risk management activities. Furthermore, the training aims to foster a well-connected community capable of resiliently facing disaster impacts. He urged participants to attentively learn the lessons and to responsibly collaborate according to their respective sectors to solve difficulties faced by the public regarding natural disaster risks.

Subsequently, the Head of the Region Disaster Management Department provided clarifications related to the opening of training course. The Region Chief Minister, the Chief Justice of the Region High Court, and region ministers took group photos with the trainees.

The responsible personnel will teach and deliver the course to 50 trainees until December 27, it’s reported.
