Disaster Drill: Fire Services Departments Conduct Search And Rescue Operations

Disaster drills continue in regions and states. In Sagaing Region, Katha District and Township Fire Services departments have been carrying out search and rescue drills. The drills include search and rescue operations in disasters including earthquake and incidents. These departments carry out the drills on every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at Katha Township Fire Services Department.

Head, Katha District Fire Services Department, Soe Min Nyunt said “This is to sharpen the skills of fire services department’s personnel in search and rescue operations in disasters including earthquake and incidents including fire.”

Katha District and Township Fire Services departments will continue such drills as planned, according to the Information and Public Relations Department.
