Diplomatic Briefing: Union Ministers clarify the guidance of SAC Chairman

Union Minister for Foreign Affairs U Wunna Maung Lwin and Union Minister for International Cooperation U Ko Ko Hlaing made a further clarification on the guidance of the State Administration Council Chairman Prime Minister to Ambassadors, permanent representatives, consul Generals and Chargé d' affaires ad interim who are assigned duties in foreign countries through video conferencing from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Tuesday.

At the event, the Union Minister for Foreign Affairs clarified the instructions of the SAC Chairman Prime Minister. He said that Myanmar Embassies in abroad have the objective to promote more bilateral relations as well as responsibilities to protect the interests of Myanmar citizens.

They need to reply their performances and respond to false news from abroad in a timely manner. He stressed the needs on taking heed of security of the office, persons and documents and having mutual respects each other.

He also explained work implementations on repatriation of displaced people from Rakhine State and progress of works, relations between Myanmar and UN as well as Myanmar and ASEAN and the Government’s stance, attitude and undertakings.

Union Minister U Ko Ko Hlaing clarified the case facing the international court, Rakhine State issue, international development, international relations and the facts to be considered in solving the conflicts.

Later, ambassadors, permanent representatives, consul generals and Chargé d' affaires ad interim made discussion and in response to the reports, the Union Ministers made clarification.
