Dinner Reception: In honour of Myanmar-Russia Bilateral Cooperation Projects

A dinner reception in honour of the cooperation project between the Ministry of Electric Power, the Ministry of Science and Technology and Russian State Atomic Energy Corporation “ROSATOM” under the program on implementation of Myanmar-Russia bilateral cooperation projects took place in Nay Pyi Taw on Sunday. Union Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn, Union Minister for Electric Power U Thaung Han, Union Minister for Energy U Myo Myint Oo, Union Minister for Science and Technology Dr Myo Thein Kyaw, Union Minister for Construction U Myo Thant, representatives from ROSATOM and officials attended the reception. Union Minister U Thaung Han and a representative from ROSATOM extended greetings. During the dinner, artists entertained the guests with songs.

The Russian delegation arrived in Myanmar in early December this year. They travelled Nay Pyi Taw, Yangon, and Inlay regions. They expressed their views and heartfelt words regarding with their trip.

Deputy Director, Palamarchuk lgor said "I would like to invite my friends from Myanmar to Russia as a courtesy, and I would also like to invite the Russians to Myanmar as friends. I am very happy to visit Myanmar. When we come to Myanmar, there is a lot to cooperate in the energy sector as well as other economic sectors. Russia will continue to help Myanmar develop its energy sector. In the future, we are going to help step by step."

key account director, Zhukova Ekaterina said "This is my fifth visit to Myanmar. When I visited Myanmar, I was very happy to see the friendliness of the Myanmar people. I am happy and take pride in visiting Myanmar again and again. I also invite Myanmar people to visit Russia. When I was in Myanmar, the places I visited were Yangon, Nay Pyi Taw and Inlay regions. I was very happy when I visited the Inlay. I got an experience like no other place in the world. Myanmar is always lush and green. As Russians, when we visit Myanmar, we love the weather and the natural beauty of the forests. The next city I want to visit is Mandalay. I have known the famous places of Mandalay. I would like to visit there. As ROSATOM, we are going to cooperate with Myanmar in many other sectors as well as the energy sector. There are many things that will continue to be done for the development of Myanmar. The electricity sector contributes a lot to the development of a country. Russia is going to provide a lot of good support for Myanmar in the hydropower sector as well."
