Dili Dialogue Forum: Media Challenges in Timor-Leste and Southeast Asia

The Dili Dialogue Forum under the title of Media Challenges in Timor-Leste and Southeast Asia took place in Timor-Leste on 25 and 26 August.

On behalf of Chairman of the Myanmar Press Council, member of the Council U Aye Chan joined the Forum together with chairs of media councils from Thailand, the Philippines, Indonesia and Timor-Leste. In the first day session of the forum, President of Timor-Leste Dr José Ramos-Horta warmly welcomed the delegates.

At the forum, U Aye Chan of Myanmar presented current events in Myanmar with the use of figures. The attendees expressed their astonishment over the presentation at the forum in comparison with the fake news of Myanmar mentioned in the international media.
