Diamond Jubilee Tatmadaw (Air) Day: Military parade marked, offered alms to the Sangha

The military parade marked the Diamond Jubilee Tatmadaw (Air) Day was held at the flying training base in Meiktila in the morning on 25th December, attended by Commander-in-Chief (Air) General Tun Aung, retired commanders-in-chief (Air), airbase commanders, Tatmadaw members and guests.

The General delivered an address at the parade and took the salute of parade companies. A ceremony to listen to Paritta recitation was held in conjunction with the dawn meal offering ceremony to mark Diamond Jubilee Tatmadaw (Air) Day at the aircraft production and maintenance base in Meiktila Station.

Vice-Chairman of the State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee Presiding Sayadaw Bhaddanta Kovida of Sasana Wepulla Pali Tekkatho  in Yanmyoaung ward of Meiktila administered the Five Precepts and members of the Sangha recited Paritta. Alms were donated to members of the Sangha, and the Sasana Wepulla Pali Tekkatho Sayadaw delivered a sermon, followed by sharing of merits. Later, members of the Sangha were offered dawn meals.
