Diamond Jubilee Independence Day: SG addresses ceremony at Military Parade Ground

Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Thadoe Maha Thray Sithu Thadoe Thiri Thudhamma Min Aung Hlaing delivered an address at the ceremony to honour the 75th Diamond Jubilee Independence Day 2023 at the Grand Military Parade Ground in Nay Pyi Taw.

This ceremony on the 4th of January was attended by Vice Chairman of the State Administration Council Deputy Prime Minister Vice Senior General Soe Win, members of the State Administration Council, union ministers and many other officials. There, the Senior General took the salute of columns of honour and addressed the ceremony in honour of the 75th Diamond Jubilee Independence Day 2023. The Independence Day celebrates the declaration of Independence from British rule on the 4th of January 1948.

The independence was regained by all the ethnic nationals in unison with diligence, perseverance and courage.

The objectives of the 75th Diamond Jubilee Independence Day are to ensure cementing the discipline-flourishing genuine multiparty democratic system and build the Union based on democracy and federalism, to utmost strive for ensuring prosperity of the nation and food sufficiency as national work processes, to build a better State and socioeconomic life in accord with the theme “Keep Moving Forward to Achieve Our Goal” focusing on interests of the State and ethnic national people, to initiate national solidarity and peace of the Union with a firm vow and to successfully hold the free and fair multiparty democratic general elections and emerge an electoral system in which all ethnic nationals would participate proportionately.
