





Kayah State government is focusing on implementation of regional development works. On Friday, Chief Minister U Ant Maw and concerned officials inspected the ongoing project of Belu Creek retaining wall construction work.
The project is being carried out along the creek from Kandayawaddy Bridge to the Nam Kut Riverbend under the 2026–2027 Fiscal Year Program. The officials reported on the implementation status such as embankment filling works, removal of sandbars and sediment deposits.
The Chief Minister instructed the relevant officials to provide systematic supervision to ensure the timely completion of the project in accordance with the required standards. Afterthat, the Chief Minister and party visited Shan Su ward and oversaw the feasibility conditions of embankment filling works between Shan Pine Bridge and Daw Noe Bridge as well as the Belu Creek riverbank masonry works in DawNoeKuu ward and Nant Kout ward.
He instructed officials to carry out the works as soon as possible with systematic management. His tour concluded by visiting to the Nam Kut Riverbend, observing the chosen site for embankment filling works.
