Sagaing Region Chief Minister U Myat Kyaw, together with regional government members, donated meals and offerings to members of the Sangha and nuns from three major monastic schools and five nunneries in Monywa on Saturday.

The Chief Minister and officials encouraged the donors preparing food and offerings for the members of the Sangha and nuns. After the donation, the Chief Minister and officials joined city development committee members, government staff, police, firefighters, and residents, totaling more than 500 people, in a collective city clean-up activity along Kyaukka Road and the railway area to promote a clean, safe, and pleasant environment.

They also observed low-cost food stalls run by consumer affairs, administrative, and development affairs departments providing affordable goods to volunteers. Similar cleaning activities were carried out in 13 districts and the Naga Self-Administered Zone, involving over 2,100 participants across the Sagaing Region.

Later, the Chief Minister and party inspected ongoing urban improvement works in Monywa, including concrete paving, drainage, and sidewalk repairs, and met with local residents.
