Detainees Released: 721 Detainees Released From Insein Central Prison

The event of releasing detainees imprisoned at Insein Central Prison under Section 505 (a) of the Penal Code was held in the stadium of Central Prison on Wednesday. 

Also present at the event were the member (1) of Yangon Region Administration Council Colonel Win Tint, Council secretary U Soe Soe Zaw, commander of Yangon Region Police Force, director of Correctional Department and officials.

The member (1) of Yangon Region Administration Council Colonel Win Tint and Council secretary U Soe Soe Zaw gave the released prisoners advice and extended words of greeting individually.

Then, the released detainees were sent back to their respective townships by YBS vehicles. A total of 721 detainees included 590 males and 131 females detained at Insein Central Prison under Section 505 (a) of the Penal Code were released.
