Deportation: U.S. national deported from Myanmar

Myanmar authorities deported U.S. national Adam Michael Castillo from Nay Pyi Taw International Airport on Wednesday.

Castillo had been charged under Section 409 of the Penal Code at Pabedan Myoma Police Station on June 8, 2026, for allegedly violating the rules and directives of the American Chamber of Commerce in Myanmar. He was deported in accordance with established procedures, with consideration given to maintaining friendly relations between Myanmar and the United States.
