Deep Depression: To Intensify Into Cyclonic Storm During Next 12 Hours

According to the observations at 03:30 a.m. M.S.T on Monday, the Depression over the East central Bay of Bengal has moved West-Northwestwards and intensified into a Deep Depression. It is centered at about 250 Nautical miles North West of Coco Island, about 290 Nautical miles West-Southwest of Pathein (Myanmar), about 290 Nautical miles Southeast of Paradip, about 335 Nautical miles South-Southeast of Digha (India).

It is not moving towards Myanmar coasts, the present stage of the deep depression is coded yellow stage. Maximum wind speed near the center is 40 miles per hour. The Deep Depression is likely to move slowly North-Northwestwards and forecast to intensify into a Cyclonic Storm during next 12 hrs and Severe Cyclonic Storm during next 36 hrs.
