Cyclonic Storm “SITRANG”: Storm has moved North-Northeastwards

The Department of Meteorology and Hydrology made an announcement at 7 am on Monday.

It states that according to the observations at 5:30 am, the Cyclonic Storm “SITRANG” over West central Bay and adjoining East central Bay of Bengal has moved North-Northeastwards and centered at about (360) Nautical miles West-Northwest of Hainggyigyun, (340) Nautical miles West-Southwest of Thandwe and (295) Nautical miles Southwest of Sittwe of Myanmar, (240) Nautical miles South of Sagar Island of India and (320) Nautical miles South-Southwest of Barisal of Bangladesh. Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
