23rd Myanmar Traditional Cultural Performing Arts Competition 2022 of Taninthayi Region was opened at the city hall in Dawei on Monday. Patron of the Leading Committee for holding the Competition, Taninthayi Region Chief Minister U Myat Ko, the Region Minister of Natural Resources and the Region Minister of Social Affairs formally opened the ceremony.
At the event, the Region Chief Minister said that it is making effort for the youths people who have between technological development and material prosperity not to deviate from Myanmar style and the ethnic traditions.
The songs to promote the national prestige are included in the singing contest to have nationalistic spirit and to be more familiar with the young people. As the special event, this year's group dance competitions such as Mon ethnic traditional dance contest, ethnic traditional dance/rural folk dance competitions, Dawei ethnic cultural dance, basic education age 10-15 women and KabyaLut(first stage) dance competitions will be enjoyed by the enthusiasts.
The Chief Minister called for achieveing the objectives of 23rd Myanmar Traditional Cultural Performing Arts Competition while implementing for the national interest and eternal peace. Later, the Chief Minister, the Chief Justice of the Region Supreme Court, members of the work committee for holding the competition and enthusiasts enjoyed Dawei ethnic traditional dance, KabyaLutdance and Mon traditional dance.32 contestants are participating in the basic education level aged (10-15), higher education level and amateur level of the competition.
