Over 20 cooks prepared one ton of a traditional Argentine delicacy, consisting of fried breaded meat, celebrating on Tuesday it's national day outside Luján Cathedral.

The dish was a milanesa, made in the napolitana style, with cheese, tomato and ham toppings. A public notary confirmed it set a national record for the largest milanesa. It measured 4 meters by 3 meters and was given away to hundreds of people who patiently waited for hours to eat a portion. The dish was originally brought to Argentina by immigrants from Italy and has become among the most beloved and popular dishes of all.
