CPC anniversary celebrations

Chinese people held various events and activities over the weekend to celebrate the 102nd anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China (CPC), which falls on Saturday. In Huludao City in northeast China's Liaoning Province, a light show and fountain show was combined together at the Jiumenkou section of the Great Wall, attracting flocks of residents and tourists.

At the renowned Hukou Waterfall on the Yellow River in northwest China's Shaanxi Province, people gathered to sing the "Yellow River Cantata", which tells the story of the Yellow River, also known as the mother river of China, as a celebration of the CPC anniversary.
