Floods have made life a misery not only for humans, but for hundreds of cows at a cow shelter in India's eastern Bihar state, as the cattle suffer from an urgent shortage of fodder and veterinary care.

Floods in Bihar have reportedly killed more than 90 people and displaced 11.5 million people. The state government has said that the relief and rehabilitation program is in process. The monsoon brings heavy rains to South Asia between June and October, often triggering floods later in the season.
