COVID-19 Vaccination: Prevention Programme Continues In Regions And States

Ministry of Health has been conducting the COVID-19 vaccination programme in regions and states for the disease prevention and control.

On the 6th of September, residents in Yankin and Tamwe townships of Yangon Region, 26 townships of Ayeyawaddy Region, 6 townships of Rakhine State and 7 districts of Mandalay Region and Taung-Oo in Bago Region received the COVID-19 vaccines. Also, students in 26 townships of Ayeyawaddy Region, 7 townships of Rakhine state and 7 districts of Mandalay Region received the COVID-19 vaccines.

Likewise, the COVID-19 vaccination has been administered to the students aged 5 to 12 at the 9 vaccination sites based in the schools for the 3rd time. Under the supervision of the Chairman of Paung Township Administration Department, the students aged 5 to 12 from 160 basic education schools, 1 private school and 1 monastic school, totaling 162 will continue to be vaccinated against COVID-19 at the vaccinating sites.

The teachers, departmental officials, administrative bodies and social organizations are helping in the vaccination processes and 3004 students in Paung Township have been vaccinated.
