

The Ministry of Health has been accelerating COVID-19 prevention, control and treatment measures and procedures.
The Ministry reported 9new COVID-19 cases at 8 p.m. on Friday after testing 4,204 patients within 24 hours. At the time of the report, there’s no patient who died due to the disease while 8 patients have recovered. Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Myanmar have reached 633,599 with 19,489 deaths and 608,198 COVID-19 patients have been discharged from the hospitals.
The World’s worst-hit countries are the United States of America, India, France, Germany, Brazil, the Republic of Korea, Japan, Italy, the United Kingdom and the Russian Federation, according to the World Health Organization. Globally, as of 4:54pm CET, 23 December 2022, there have been over 651 million confirmed cases of COVID-19, including over 6.65 million deaths.
