COVID-19 Update: 711 New Cases Reported at 8 p.m. on October 25

The Ministry of Health reported 711 new COVID-19 cases at 8 p.m. on Monday after testing 17,249 lab specimens within 24 hours. 22 COVID-19 positive patients have died while 1,689 patients have recovered and were discharged from hospitals. Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Myanmar have reached 494,974 with 18,560 deaths and 458,470 COVID-19 patients have been discharged from the hospitals.

The World’s worst-hit countries are United States of America with over 44.94 million confirmed cases followed by India, Brazil, The United Kingdom, Russian Federation, Turkey, France, Islamic Republic of Iran, Argentina and Spain according to the World Health Organization. Globally, as of 4:20 p.m. Central European Summer Time on October 25th, 2021, there have been over 243.26 million confirmed cases of COVID-19, including over 4.94 million deaths, reported to WHO.

The Ministry of Health has given instructions for office/department staff and everyone’s active cooperation in following the COVID-19 preventive measures including reminders of staying safe and healthy during the pandemic.
