
The Ministry of Health reported 629 new COVID-19 cases at 8 p.m. on Wednesday after testing 26,597 lab specimens within 24 hours.
8 COVID-19 positive patients have died while 841 patients have recovered and were discharged from hospitals. Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Myanmar have reached 519,731 with 19,049 deaths and 493,399 COVID-19 patients have been discharged from the hospitals. COVID-19 vaccine is being injected to those of priority groups in regions and states for prevention and control of the disease.
Up to 23rd November, 2021, a total of 15,781,274 people have been vaccinated. Of them, 11,015,162 people have been vaccinated two times and 4,766,112 people once. Therefore, a total of 26,796, 436 doses of COVID-19 jabs have been vaccinated. The World’s worst-hit countries are United States of America with over 47.59 million confirmed cases followed by India, Brazil, The United Kingdom, Russian Federation, Turkey, France, Islamic Republic of Iran, Germany and Argentina according to the World Health Organization.
Globally, as of 6:49 p.m. Central European Time on November 24th, 2021, there have been over 258.16 million confirmed cases of COVID-19, including over 5.16 million deaths, reported to WHO.
