COVID-19 Update: 52 new cases reported at 8 p.m. on May 6

The Ministry of Health reported 52 new COVID-19 cases at 8 p.m. on Friday after testing 10,900 lab specimens within 24 hours. 26 patients have recovered and were discharged from hospitals. Till the 6th May, confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Myanmar have reached 613,017 with 19,434 deaths and 591,928 COVID-19 patients have been discharged from the hospitals.

The World’s worst-hit countries are the United States of America, India, Brazil, France, Germany, the United Kingdom, Russian Federation, the Republic of Korea, Italy and Turkey, according to the World Health Organization. Globally, as of 5:31 pm CEST on 6th May, there have been over 513 million confirmed cases of COVID-19, including over 6.249 million deaths.
