COVID-19 Update: 3,611 New Cases Reported At 8 P.M. On August 9

The Ministry of Health reported 3,611 new COVID-19 cases at 8 p.m. on Monday after testing 12,191 lab specimens within 24 hours.

238 COVID-19 positive patients have died while 5,902 patients have recovered and were discharged from hospitals. Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Myanmar have reached 333,127 with 12,014 deaths and 249,633 COVID-19 patients have been discharged from the hospitals.

The World’s worst-hit countries are United States of America with over 35.50 million confirmed cases followed by India, Brazil, Russian Federation, France, The United Kingdom, Turkey, Argentina, Colombia and Spain according to the World Health Organization.

Globally, as of 7:07 p.m. Central European Standard Time on August 9, 2021, there have been over 202.60 million confirmed cases of COVID-19, including over 4.29 million deaths, reported to WHO.
