
The Ministry of Health has been accelerating COVID-19 prevention, control and treatment measures and procedures.
The Ministry reported 3 new COVID-19 cases at 8 p.m. on Sunday after testing 5,517 patients within 24 hours. At the time of the report, there’s no patient who died due to the disease while one patient has recovered and were discharged from hospitals. Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Myanmar have reached 613,443 with 19,434 deaths and 592,424 COVID-19 patients have been discharged from the hospitals.
COVID-19 vaccine is being injected to those of priority groups in regions and states for prevention and control of the disease. Up to 11th June, 2022, nearly 34 million people have been vaccinated. Of them, over 27.21 million people have been vaccinated two times and over 6.74 million people once and over 2.27 million people have received booster dose. Therefore, over 63.44 million doses of COVID-19 jabs have been vaccinated, according to the press release of Ministry of Health.
