COVID-19 Update: 299 new cases with 1 death reported on September 13

The Ministry of Health has been accelerating COVID-19 prevention, control and treatment measures and procedures.

The Ministry reported 299 new COVID-19 cases at 8 p.m. on Tuesday after testing 11,191 patients within 24 hours. At the time of the report, 1 patient has died due to the disease while 124 patients have recovered from the disease. Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Myanmar have reached 617,355 with 19,443 deaths and 594,463 COVID-19 patients have been discharged from the hospitals.

Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) is an infectious disease caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus. Most people who fall sick with COVID-19 will experience mild to moderate symptoms and recover without special treatment. However, some will become seriously ill and require medical attention.
