COVID-19 Update: 27 New Cases Reported At 8 P.M. On May 4

The Ministry of Health reported 27 new COVID-19 cases at 8 p.m. on Wednesday after testing 11,344 lab specimens within 24 hours.

15 patients have recovered and were discharged from hospitals. As of the 5th of  May, confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Myanmar have reached 612,951 with 19,434 deaths and 591,894 COVID-19 patients have been discharged from the hospitals.

The World’s worst-hit countries are the United States of America, India, Brazil, France, Germany, the United Kingdom, Russian Federation, the Republic of Korea, Italy and Turkey, according to the World Health Organization. Globally, as of 8:38 pm CEST on 4th May, there have been over 512 million confirmed cases of COVID-19, including over 6.243 million deaths.
