COVID-19 Update: 22 new COVID-19 cases reported on July 18

The Ministry of Health has been accelerating COVID-19 prevention, control and treatment measures and procedures.

The Ministry reported 22 new COVID-19 cases at 8 p.m. on Monday after testing 6,175 patients within 24 hours. At the time of the report, there’s no patient who died due to the disease while 8 patients have recovered. Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Myanmar have reached 613,838 with 19,434 deaths and 592,744 COVID-19 patients have been discharged from the hospitals.

Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) is an infectious disease caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus. Most people who fall sick with COVID-19 will experience mild to moderate symptoms and recover without special treatment. However, some will become seriously ill and require medical attention.
