COVID-19 Update: 21 new cases reported at 8 p.m. on April 29

The Ministry of Health reported 21 new COVID-19 cases at 8 p.m. on Friday after testing 10,573 lab specimens within 24 hours. 40 patients have recovered and were discharged from hospitals. As of April 29th, confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Myanmar have reached 612,864 with 19,434 deaths and 591,794 COVID-19 patients have been discharged from the hospitals.

The World’s worst-hit countries are the United States of America, India, Brazil, France, Germany, the United Kingdom, Russian Federation, Republic of Korea, Italy and Turkey, according to the World Health Organization. Globally, as of 5:47 pm CEST on 29 April, there have been over 510 million confirmed cases of COVID-19, including over 6.233 million deaths.
