COVID-19 Update: 204 new COVID-19 cases reported on September 12

The Ministry of Health has been accelerating COVID-19 prevention, control and treatment measures and procedures.

The Ministry reported 204 new COVID-19 cases at 8 p.m. on Monday after testing 11,306 patients within 24 hours. At the time of the report, there’s no patient who died due to the disease while 59 patients have recovered from the disease. Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Myanmar have reached 617,056 with 19,442 deaths and 594,339 COVID-19 patients have been discharged from the hospitals.

Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) is an infectious disease caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus. Most people who fall sick with COVID-19 will experience mild to moderate symptoms and recover without special treatment. However, some will become seriously ill and require medical attention.
