
The Ministry of Health has been accelerating COVID-19 prevention, control and treatment measures and procedures.
The Ministry reported 17 new COVID-19 cases at 8 p.m. on Wednesday after testing 8,761 lab specimens within 24 hours. 25 patients have recovered and were discharged from hospitals. As of April 27th, confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Myanmar have reached 612,802 with 19,434 deaths and 591,740 COVID-19 patients have been discharged from the hospitals.
The World’s worst-hit countries are the United States of America, India, Brazil, France, Germany, the United Kingdom, Russian Federation, Republic of Korea, Italy and Turkey, according to the World Health Organization. Globally, as of 6:05 pm CEST on 27 April, there have been over 508.8 million confirmed cases of COVID-19, including over 6.227 million deaths.
