COVID-19 Update: 17 New Cases reported at 8 p.m. on May. 22

Ministry of Health and Sports reported 17 new COVID-19 cases at 8 p.m. on Saturday after testing 1,234 lab specimens within 24 hours with 8 COVID-19 positive patients have been discharged from hospitals on the 22nd of May.

COVID-19 confirmed cases in Myanmar have reached 143,227 with 132,177 COVID-19 patients discharged from the hospital until 8 p.m. on the 22nd of May.

The World’s worst-hit countries are the United States of America with over 32.73 million confirmed cases followed by India, Brazil, France, Turkey, the Russian Federation, the United Kingdom, Italy, Germany and Spain according to the World Health Organization.

Globally, as of 2:49 p.m. CEST on 22nd of May 2021, there have been over 165.77 million confirmed cases of COVID-19, including over 3.43 million deaths, reported to WHO.
