COVID-19 Update: 16 New COVID-19 Cases Reported On May 11

The Ministry of Health has been accelerating COVID-19 prevention, control and treatment measures and procedures. The Ministry reported 16 new COVID-19 cases at 8 p.m. on Wednesday after testing 9,103 patients within 24 hours.

At the time of the report, there’s no patient who died due to the disease while 14 patients have recovered and were discharged from hospitals. Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Myanmar have reached 613,082 with 19,434 deaths and 592,001 COVID-19 patients have been discharged from the hospitals.

The World’s worst-hit countries are the United States of America, India, Brazil, France, Germany, the United Kingdom, Russian Federation, Republic of Korea, Italy, Turkey, Spain and Viet Nam according to the World Health Organization. Globally, as of 6:14pm CEST, 11th May 2022, there have been over 516 million confirmed cases of COVID-19, including over 6.25 million deaths.
