COVID-19 Update: 16 New Cases Reported At 8 p.m. On May. 5

Ministry of Health and Sports reported 16 new COVID-19 cases at 8 p.m. on Wednesday after testing 1,848 lab specimens within 24 hours with one new death and 2 COVID-19 positive patients have been discharged from hospitals on 5th of May. COVID-19 confirmed cases in Myanmar have reached 142,874 with 3210 deaths and 131,999 COVID-19 patients discharged from the hospital until 8 p.m. on 5th of May.

The World’s worst-hit countries are United States of America with over 32.12 million confirmed cases followed by India, Brazil, France, Turkey, Russian Federation, The United Kingdom, Italy, Spain and Germany according to the World Health Organization.

Globally, as of 4:38 p.m. CEST on 5th of May 2021, there have been over 153.95 million confirmed cases of COVID-19, including over 3.22 million deaths, reported to WHO.
