COVID-19 Update: 132 new cases with 1 death reported on October 28

The Ministry of Health has been accelerating COVID-19 prevention, control and treatment measures and procedures.

The Ministry reported 132 new COVID-19 cases at 8 p.m. on Friday after testing 10,059 patients within 24 hours. At the time of the report, there’s 1 patient who died due to the disease while 198 patients have recovered. Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Myanmar have reached 631,367 with 19,481 deaths and 605,349 COVID-19 patients have been discharged from the hospitals.

The World’s worst-hit countries are the United States of America, India, France, Germany, Brazil, the Republic of Korea, the United Kingdom, Italy, Japan and Russian Federation, according to the World Health Organization. Globally, as of 5:43pm CEST, 28 October 2022, there have been over 626 million confirmed cases of COVID-19, including over 6.56 million deaths.
