
The Ministry of Health has been accelerating COVID-19 prevention, control and treatment measures and procedures.
The Ministry reported 1,301 new COVID-19 cases at 8 p.m. on Wednesday after testing 21,178 lab specimens within 24 hours. 4 patients have died due to the disease while 1,734 patients have recovered and were discharged from hospitals. Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Myanmar have reached 602,321 with 19,398 deaths and 552,616 COVID-19 patients have been discharged from the hospitals.
The World’s worst-hit countries are the United States of America, India, Brazil, France, the United Kingdom, Russian Federation, Germany, Turkey, Italy, Spain, Argentina and Islamic Republic of Iran, according to the World Health Organization. Globally, as of 6:11pm CET on 9 March, there have been over 448 million confirmed cases of COVID-19, including over 6.011s million deaths.
