COVID-19 Update: 12 new COVID-19 cases reported on July 7

The Ministry of Health has been accelerating COVID-19 prevention, control and treatment measures and procedures.

The Ministry reported 12 new COVID-19 cases at 8 p.m. on Thursday after testing 4,966 patients within 24 hours. At the time of the report, there’s no patient who died due to the disease while 3 patients have recovered. Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Myanmar have reached 613,695 with 19,434 deaths and 592,609 COVID-19 patients have been discharged from the hospitals.

The World’s worst-hit countries are the United States of America, India, Brazil, France, Germany, the United Kingdom, Italy, Republic of Korea, Russian Federation, Turkiye, Spain and Vietnam according to the World Health Organization. Globally, as of 5:03pm CEST, 7th July 2022, there have been over 550 million confirmed cases of COVID-19, including over 6.34 million deaths.
