COVID-19 Update: 1,133 New Cases Reported at 8 p.m. on October 19

The Ministry of Health has been accelerating COVID-19 prevention, control and treatment measures and procedures.

The Ministry reported 1,133 new COVID-19 cases at 8 p.m. on Tuesday after testing 19,624 patients within 24 hours. 28 COVID-19 positive patients have died while 1,239 patients have recovered and were discharged from hospitals.

Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Myanmar have reached 490,008 with 18,416 deaths and 442,610 COVID-19 patients have been discharged from the hospitals.

The World’s worst-hit countries are the United States of America, India, Brazil, the United Kingdom, Russian Federation, Turkey, France, Iran, Argentina and Spain, according to the World Health Organization. Globally, as of 8:23pm CEST, 19 October 2021, there have been over 240 million confirmed cases of COVID-19, including over 4.9 million, reported to WHO.
