COVID-19 Update: 10 new cases with 1 death reported on December 21

The Ministry of Health has been accelerating COVID-19 prevention, control and treatment measures and procedures. The Ministry reported 10 new COVID-19 cases at 8 p.m. on Wednesday after testing 4,682 patients within 24 hours.

At the time of the report, there’s 1 patient who died due to the disease while 35 patients have recovered. Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Myanmar have reached 633,585 with 19,489 deaths and 608,182 COVID-19 patients have been discharged from the hospitals.

The World’s worst-hit countries are the United States of America, India, France, Germany, Brazil, the Republic of Korea, Japan, Italy, the United Kingdom and the Russian Federation, according to the World Health Organization. Globally, as of 5:19pm CET, 21 December 2022, there have been over 650 million confirmed cases of COVID-19, including over 6.64 million deaths.
